In 2008 I participated in the Imagine Cup software design competition as part of Team SOAK alongside David Burela, Dimaz Pramudya and Long Zheng.
SOAK which stands for “Smart Operational Agriculture toolKit” is an integrated hardware and softwares platform that helps farmers easily manage water resources across their farm. It does this by integrating a wide range of sensors that gather data about the environment in real time. This information is then overlaid on a map of their farm allowing the end user to view visual information for making key decisions and then execute them using the controls. Key systems such as the sprinklers are automated and operate based on the systems logic.
What is the Imagine Cup?
Imagine Cup is a global competition that empowers the next generation of computer science students to team up and use their creativity, passion and knowledge of technology to create applications that shape how we live, work and play.
